Idler Armchair in Intelligent Velvet Mineral (IV III)

The Idler Armchair in Intelligent Velvet Mineral brings together timeless style and inviting comfort. Inspired by an Edwardian sofa in Nix’s kitchen, its refreshingly simple silhouette feels equally at home in a relaxed kitchen corner or an elegant drawing room.

Made by skilled craftspeople in Derbyshire, the Idler features a durable pocket-sprung seat for even, lasting support, with cushions combining the softness of feather with the resilient plumpness of fibre.

About this sample

This sample armchair is in great condition. It is upholstered in a slightly earlier version of our current Intelligent Velvet fabric and features the original feet, rather than the castor feet used on newer models. These details distinguish it from the current range while retaining the Idler’s signature character and comfort.

Delivery & Returns

This item is eligible for FREE kerbside delivery (to UK mainland). Our White Glove Delivery service is available as an optional upgrade at checkout.

When the piece is finished and ready to be dispatched, our delivery team will contact you directly to schedule a convenient time for delivery. Confirmation will be sent via email. Please advise the team in advance of any access issues, e.g. no parking.

Deliveries are made Monday to Saturday between 7.00am and 7.00pm in 4-hour delivery time slots.

International Orders​

For deliveries outside of the UK mainland, please reach out to our Customer Service team for a quote on +44(0)330 058 1551 or email us with your order request before placing your order. Please allow a few working days for us to process your request.

Returns

We’ll happily take back most pieces within 28 days of delivery as long as they are in their original packaging (unless we took this away for you) and without any signs of use. 

If you are unhappy with your order and wish to make a return, we are able to take it back free of change if you notify the delivery team before they leave your address. If your order needs to be collected at a later date we will need to charge £150 to cover the cost of collection (for UK mainland delivery returns). 

Made to Order (MTO) pieces are made specifically to your exact requirements.  They can be returned to us, but we do charge a restocking fee that is 25% of the original price of the piece (for UK mainland delivery returns).

For upholstered pieces that have been made with your own fabric, we are sadly unable to offer a refund.

Care Instructions

Once a week, use your vacuum cleaner’s upholstery nozzle to help stop dust from building up. You can also use a soft, clean brush to clean the fabric, paying particular attention to the arms and any pleats. This will help to combat fabric wear and stop colour fading. 

Our seat cushions have the same fabric on the top and bottom, making it easy to flip them over when plumping.
